Bev Francis, from Australia, excelled in Shot Put, Powerlifting and Bodybuilding throughout her legendary career. She began her career in strength sports in the late 70s with an Australian National Record in the Shot Put. She then turned her attention to Powerlifting, winning the 1980 through 1985 IPF World Championship in the 82.5kg/181# class with best lifts of 500 Pounds in the Squat, 335 Pounds in the Bench Press and 500 Pounds in the Deadlift, she was the first woman to bench press over 300
