Growing up in foster care, I remember sitting in class listening to friends talk about the PlayStations and big-ticket gifts “Santa” brought them… while I quietly held onto my new pyjamas or a book. And trust me, I was grateful for anything I received…. it was still tough hearing those conversations, feeling that little sting of being different.
