Hotter Than Hell was album #2 for KISS, and remains a fan favourite. Tougher, darker and heavier than their debut, the album was actually not a big seller at the time but has grown in stature over the intervening decades. Even if the tempo can be a bit plodding, tracks such as the title number, Got To Choose, Parasite, Strange Ways and Watchin’ You showed the band’s hard rock chops, and while Ace Frehley shied away from singing lead vocals Peter Criss did feature on two songs.
