Lamlameta is a traditional board game played by the Konso people in southern Ethiopia. It shares similarities with games like Gebeta and Mancala, where players “sow” seeds in pits on a board. The board, called “toma tagega,” has two rows of twelve pits, known as “awa.” Each pit begins with two seeds (“tagega”).The game is played by picking up all the seeds from a chosen pit and distributing them counterclockwise, one seed per pit.
