On July 12, 1979, the Chicago White Sox staged “Disco Demolition Night” at Comiskey Park. After the Sox lost the first game to the Detroit Tigers, 4-1. Over 5,000 fans ran onto the field, the fans refused to leave the field of play and the Disco Demolition Night promotion gone awry.
