Getting back in the groove. A large male brown bear starts to show interest in fishing again after a long, berry eating hiatus. Many of the bears we've been seeing are already fat - from eating berries and vegetation. This year, Kodiak Island and the Alaskan peninsula had an amazing berry crop- bears were focused on this bounty for weeks and did not appear on the rivers and open places (where we could see them) until recently. | Kodiak Island Expeditions
