A $13.1 million rehabilitation of the Armstrong Tunnel in Pittsburgh is currently underway. After 97 years of wear and tear, the Armstrong Tunnel portals needed a good cleaning, and that’s exactly what they got. Over the past few months, crews have been wet-blasting the north and south entrances/exits to the tunnel. The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) has named Mount Aloysius College the winner of the 12th annual “Institutional Peak Performer Award.” The AMCC presents this award to the college with the highest percentage of student-athletes on the Academic All-Conference Team. Mount Aloysius has won the award five times - the most in conference history - and also broke conference history this year with more than 66% of Mountie student-athletes achieving the honor of “Academic All-Conference.
