This was one of my favorite albums as a teen... they had hits like Volcano Girls and Seether but this song was always my chill song with them Veruca Salt’s “One Last Time” is pure ’90s alt-rock muscle—sweet melody, sharp teeth. That push-pull between vulnerability and volume is exactly why Veruca Salt stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the great female-fronted bands of the era. They had the crunch of L7, the melodic bite of The Breeders, and a cleaner, more radio-ready edge than the raw riot-grrrl
