The National Park Service has reopened a major section of the Blue Ridge Parkway — resulting in about 114 miles of the Parkway open from Mount Mitchell to Cherokee through Asheville and Buncombe County. This stretch includes beloved Craggy Gardens highlights like the Visitor Center, Craggy Pinnacle Trail, and sections of the Mountains to Sea Trail — just in time for fall adventures. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a 469 mile scenic drive running from the blue ridge mountains in North Carolina all the way into northern Virginia. The drive is stunning during fall and is a must do at least once in your life. While visiting the blue ridge parkway near Asheville, make sure to stop and hike to craggy pinnacle or park at lane pinnacle overlook for sunset!
