From its earliest days, Midtown Houston has played a pivotal role in shaping the city’s identity. Once a part of Houston’s historic Third and Fourth Wards, the area was a thriving center for African American life and culture in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
History comes alive at Sterling House Midtown - Midtown Houston
Owners Amir Ansari and his wife, Lisa Tapick Ansari, had two goals in mind when they bought the 111-year-old home in 2009 – to preserve a slice of Houston architectural history and to bring to life one cool bar and kitchen. Sterling House opened for business in August 2016.
