Chantal has weakened into a post-tropical cyclone and the flash flood threat from the storm has wanted, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Recovery is underway Tuesday across the Triangle after Tropical Depression Chantal dumped heavy rain causing major flooding and road closures.There were at least three storm-related deaths confirmed.
