The spike in ICE raids across the Sacramento region in the past two months raise questions about people's rights when interacting with immigration enforcement and what witnesses should do in the event of a raid.

U.S. Border Patrol Sector Chief raided Sacramento today taking the opportunity to make a propaganda video aimed at sending California a message. Meanwhile in L.A., Federal agents are chasing people with their unmarked vehicles causing accidents while the DHS tests California and L.

The Sacramento RISE Hub — short for Regional Immigrant Support and Empowerment — will provide rapid response services, legal assistance and community education. The effort will partner with local schools, labor unions, faith-based organizations, local governments and other community groups.

The incident Thursday morning in the store’s parking lot was the first high-profile enforcement raid in Sacramento County.
