Massachusetts can expect hazy skies on Wednesday as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to drift down the East Coast, prompting an Air Quality Alert for the western part of the state.

An air quality alert is in effect for all of Massachusetts as smoke from Canadian wildfires descends into the Boston area.

Canadian wildfire smoke will stay thick across the region today. It will lead to a very filtered, subdued sky today. Without that smoke, we’d be talking pure sunshine! Plan on highs in the low to mid-80s at the coast and close to 90 inland. Please keep in mind the Air Quality Alert if you’re active outside today.
