The New York City Police Department sent detectives to Las Vegas to work with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms to execute search warrants and continue the investigation into Monday's deadly shooting inside a Midtown Manhattan office building.

A man stalked through a Manhattan office tower firing a rifle Monday, killing four people, including a New York City police officer, and wounding a fifth before taking his own life, officials said. The shooting took place at a skyscraper that is home to the headquarters of both the NFL and Blackstone,

Blackstone, one of the world’s largest investment firms, confirmed one of its employees, Wesley LePatner, was among those killed. A Yale graduate, LePatner was a real estate executive, according to Blackstone’s website, and spent more than a decade at Goldman Sachs before joining the firm in 2014.
