Live Fast Motorsports has a new driver for their NASCAR Cup Series car, and it's a veteran motorsports racer and a woman. Katherine Legge, 44, will make her debut in the series this Sunday at Phoenix Raceway in the Shriners Children's 500,

Katherine Legge will become the first woman in a NASCAR Cup Series race since Danica Patrick in 2018 when the veteran makes her debut Sunday at Phoenix Raceway. Legge will drive the No. 78 Chevrolet for Live Fast Motorsports.

Sara Christian, who in 1949 became the first female driver to compete in NASCAR's top division, finished fifth in her second career race, which was at Pittsburgh’s Heidelberg Raceway. It remains the only top-five finish by a woman in the NASCAR Cup Series.
