Monday morning commuters may find the trip difficult, where driving is permitted, after a winter storm dumped a foot of snow in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. No significant snow is predicted in the coming week, but temperatures will stay well below freezing for the next seven day at least, according to the National Weather Service.
“Dangerous cold comes this week with several nights featuring single digit temperatures and wind chills below zero,” the National Weather Service said early Monday. “It’s quite rare to get a stretch of temperatures this cold for so long. Take precautions if headed out.”
A Cold Weather Advisory has been issued for Monday evening through Tuesday morning for the first episode of dangerously cold wind chills.
The snow may have stopped falling, but now central Pennsylvania has to dig itself out while facing dangerously frigid temperatures. As central Pennsylvanians wake up Monday morning, temperatures are only in the teens and will peak in the low 20s for the day,
Snow squalls could sweep across New Jersey between 1 and 7 p.m. on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
Snow could continue in Massachusetts into Monday afternoon. After some communities received more than 20 inches of snow, the National Weather Service forecasters predict that periods of light to moderate snow will continue through Monday afternoon.
