Stephen Curry had an explosive performance on Tuesday night as he scored 52 points including made 12 three-pointers en route to a 134–125 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. The Golden State Warriors star made some NBA history as well, passing the late, great Jerry West on the NBA's all-time scoring list to reach No. 25 on the rankings.

West, who was the model for the NBA logo and was in many ways the original prototype for Curry’s combo-guard archetype as a do-everything scoring dynamo with a sweet shot, was a legendary player for the Lakers in the 1960s and 1970s before helping build two separate dynasties in Los Angeles.

In a 134-125 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night, Curry dropped 52 points, giving him 15 career 50-point games, which is tied with Damian Lillard for the sixth most in NBA history. Following his dominant performance, Curry told reporters: "I feel in a good rhythm. The week off helped. The tank is pretty full."
