Colorful stars danced across the dirt floor of NRG Stadium, circling the rodeo’s star-shaped stage. As the stage slowly rotated, Bun B addressed the cheering crowd. “Houston, can we turn up for real?” Bun asked as the audience roared in anticipation of the next guest.

RodeoHouston does not require clear bags on the NRG Park grounds or in NRG Stadium. Small purses or backpacks for personal items are allowed. There are random bag checks at all NRG Stadium gates. You can also bring in baby strollers or wagons.
On March 7, the NRG Stadium was packed with occupants in celebration of Black Heritage Day at Rodeo Houston. The big event honored the continued contributions of African Americans to Western culture, highlighting the history and legacy of Black cowboys with activities and performances throughout the day.
