Buying an Android phone in 2025 is an exciting if daunting prospect thanks to the sheer number of available devices in the UK. Brands such as Samsung and Google may be the go-to bestsellers, but rivals such as OnePlus, Xiaomi and Honor have also released excellent high-end alternatives in recent weeks.

Honor has announced plans to support its newest flagship smartphones with seven years of OS and security updates.

Honor’s flagship phones now get as many updates as Samsung or Google’s, meaning its already excellent phones will continue to be excellent for much longer.

Now, Honor has announced at MWC that it's going to be joining the 'best-in-class' level of promised software updates for its Magic phones moving forward. Starting with the Honor Magic 7 Pro, all of its Magic handsets will get a minimum of seven years of guaranteed updates,
