TikTok is no longer available in the United States —at least for now. But it’s not the only ByteDance-owned app that’s currently blocked for US-based users.

The US Supreme Court upheld a law on Friday to ban TikTok unless its Chinese-based parent company, ByteDance, divests from the app. The court ruled that the divest-or-ban ultimatum does not violate the company's First Amendment rights in the US Constitution.

TikTok was not available for many of its 170 million users in the U.S. hours before a ban on the social media platform was supposed to go into effect.
