Nick Kyrgios say he will make a long-awaited return to competitive tennis at the Brisbane International beginning Dec. 29, and also plans to play in the Australian Open the following month.

Former Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios will return to action at the Brisbane International - a warm-up event for the Australian Open - in December-January, organisers said on Friday.Australian Kyrgios is also scheduled to play in the Dec.

Although the Australian hardcourts aren’t as accommodating to his serve and volley game as the green grass of Wimbledon, Kyrgios has still had plenty of success at home, winning the Brisbane International in 2018 then teaming up with his good mate Thanasi Kokkinakis to win the Australian open doubles title in 2022.

Nick Kyrgios will be joined by fellow Australians Jordan Thompson, Alexei Popyrin and Ajla Tomljanovic as he returns
