Thirty-five people were killed in southern China after a car plowed into crowds exercising in the grounds of an outdoor sports center on Monday evening, according to police.

People are paying respects in a southern Chinese city to 35 of its residents who were killed by a driver who rammed his vehicle into a sports complex, mowing down people as they were exercising earlier this week.

Thirty-five people were killed and another 43 were injured when a driver deliberately rammed his car into a crowd outside a sports center in Zhuhai, southern China, police said Tuesday.
