Memphis is under a winter storm watch, with the heaviest snowfall expected Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning. Snowfall accumulation in Memphis is predicted to be between one to two inches, but could reach up to five inches in areas north of the city.

A winter storm warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 2:41 p.m. EST valid from Friday 4 a.m. EST until Saturday 1 a.m. EST for Luce and Schoolcraft counties.

On Wednesday at 11:42 a.m. an updated winter storm warning was issued by the NWS Blacksburg VA in effect until Thursday at 1 p.m. for Rockingham and Caswell counties.

While much of Minnesota will continue to enjoy unusually mild weather, one part of the state is returning to winter weather.
