A Seattle man has been charged with a hate crime following what police describe as a violent, unprovoked attack on a woman in the First Hill neighborhood Monday.
A 50-year-old man crashed his truck through the Maxum Petroleum building Wednesday night after falling asleep at the wheel, the Seattle Police Department said.

Seattle police said they later determined the victim was an employee of a local mini-mart. While the victim was outside on a break from work, an adult man, an acquaintance of his, walked up to him and shot the victim “apparently unprovoked,” and then fled the scene on a motorcycle, according to Seattle police.
