By Lori Ewing MILAN, Feb 16 (Reuters) - Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara delivered a thrilling comeback at the Milano Cortina Games, storming from fifth place after a shaky short programme to capture Japan's first Olympic figure skating pairs title on Monday.
Although it was not gold like they had hoped going into Monday's pairs figure skating final at the Winter Olympic Games, Anastasiia Metelkina and Luka Berulava made history for the country they represent. For the first time in history, Georgia has a medal at the Winter Olympics.
The Olympic Team Event came down to the final skater on Sunday. In front of a packed house inside the Milano Ice Skating arena, the United States narrowly defeated Japan for its second consecutive team gold.
