The Arch Manning era in Austin is here. With Texas starting quarterback Quinn Ewers off to the NFL, Manning—the grandson of college football legend Archie Manning and nephew of NFL greats Eli and Peyton Manning—is the presumptive started for the Longhorns in 2025.

Manning understands the level of attention and scrutiny that comes with his family’s last name, but says he hasn’t done enough to earn his current stardom.

Manning, the highly touted quarterback from the famed Manning family, said Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian played a key role in his decision. “Coach Sark just told me to be myself and be a leader and work hard, and it’ll all work out,” Manning said.
