Pacers wing Bennedict Mathurin has been suspended for one game for his altercation with an official in the Pacers' loss to Cleveland on Tuesday.

The NBA has suspended Indiana Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin for one game after he was ejected Tuesday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Remarkably, Mathurin received three technical fouls in the same game against the Cavs.

Indiana Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin was suspended for one game without pay by the NBA on Wednesday night for inappropriate contact and verbal abuse of a game official.

The NBA announced on Wednesday that they are suspending the Indiana Pacers swingman Mathurin for one game without pay due to his actions in Tuesday’s loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. In their release, the league cited Mathurin “making inappropriate contact with and verbally abusing a game official” as the reasons for the suspension.

With Aaron Nesmith back from a sprained left ankle, the Pacers are approaching a tough decision between him and Bennedict Mathurin at small forward.

Bennedict Mathurin was ejected after yelling at and bumping into an official while arguing a foul call on Tuesday night.

This is only a one-game suspension, so Mathurin will be back on Saturday for the game against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Pacers are going to need him for as many games as possible because of the scoring and rebounding he brings to the roster. So far this season, Mathurin is averaging 16.5 points, six points, and two assists per game.

With Aaron Nesmith back and 11 players good enough to be part of the Pacers' rotation, playing time will be less constant.
