Friday will bring a lower chance for showers and storms in the Midlands, but the chance for severe weather will increase through the weekend.

Pinpoint Weather Meteorologist Travis Michels is tracking more clouds pushing in on Thursday with mild highs in the 70s and good chances for afternoon and evening thunderstorms.

"Turn around, don't drown," said the NWS, telling drivers to avoid driving into flooded areas, with Kansas and Oklahoma set to be worst affected.
