The Arizona Diamondbacks are reportedly open to trading starting pitchers Zac Gallen and Merrill Kelly. According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, the Diamondbacks' "initial preference" was to trade either Gallen or Kelly but both players could end up experiencing a change of scenery "if the team receives strong enough offers."

Kelly (9-5, 3.32 ERA) is set to become a free agent at the end of the season, as are several key Diamondbacks, including starting pitcher Zac Gallen and third baseman Eugenio Suarez, who drove in the winning run on Friday.

The Diamondbacks are reeling and look to be sellers at the trade deadline. The Mets could use another starting pitcher. This seems like a match between the two.
