ALLEN PARK – Since taking over playcalling duties from offensive coordinator John Morton, Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell has experienced the highs and lows of the added responsibility.

Kelvin Sheppard’s unit limited Jalen Hurts and the Eagles to 272 total yards and a measly 3.9 yards per play. It forced seven Braden Mann punts, clogged running lanes and prevented Philadelphia from executing many big plays.

The first time Dan Campbell became a head coach, he was named interim head coach of the Dolphins in 2015. The Dolphins won their first game under Campbell by a score of 38-10. It was clear that Campbell had brought fresh energy to his team.

The Detroit Lions are in the midst of their worst stretch since turning the corner. It'd been three years since the Lions lost three contests in any given five-game timeframe, but that's where the they find themselves now, after dropping outings to the Kansas City Chiefs, Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles since Oct. 12.
