General Hospital' actor Chris Robinson wasn't a doctor, but he played one on TV — and introduced that classic saying to American culture. He has died at 86.

Robinson, whose career spanned more than 60 years, famously told viewers in a cough syrup commercial, "I'm not a doctor, but I play one on TV."

Chris Robinson, best known as Dr. Rick Webber on the ABC soap opera “General Hospital,” died June 9 at his home near Sedona, Ariz.
