He's back on the green and things are about to get wild. Adam Sandler stars in the highly anticipated sequel, 'Happy Gilmore 2,' out this week.

Sandler and co-writer Tim Herlihy tell The Hollywood Reporter about the response to the film, the possibility of more sequels for the star's movies after the success of this latest Netflix feature: "This throws it open.

The film, currently sitting in the No. 1 spot in Netflix’s top 10 movies, sees the return of actors like Julie Bowen (Virginia Venit), Christopher McDonald (Shooter McGavin) and Ben Stiller (Hal L.) from the first movie and is overflowing with callbacks to the first movie and celebrity cameos.

Rapper Kid Cudi, aka Scott Mescudi, has been pursuing an acting career for the last 10 years or so, and pops up in all kinds of movies these days. That includes Happy Gilmore 2, where he appears in the very last scene as an FBI agent who arrests Ben Stiller’s character, Hal L., for abusive his Alcoholics Anonymous program.

The wait is finally over. After 30 years, Adam Sandler is back as one of his most beloved characters in Happy Gilmore 2 (now streaming on Netflix). Reviews have been mixed, but fans are sure to love the nostalgia-ridden follow-up.
