The influential sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has rebuffed outreach by South Korea’s new liberal government, saying that North Korea has no interests in talks with South Korea for whatever proposal its rival offers.

North Korea has no interest in engaging with the South regardless of policy proposals from Seoul, Kim Yo-jong, vice department director of the Central Committee of the ruling Workers' Party, said in a statement published Monday.
