The Lawrence County elections office has started sending out applications for permanent mail-in ballots.

The proposal would impose new national voting standards, require photo ID and proof of citizenship, restrict universal mail-in ballots and ban ranked-choice voting.

More than 1,000 Tarrant County voters who have requested a mail-in ballot may still need to submit a new application ahead of the March primaries.
