He’s raking in some ‘Cuo’ hard cash. Andrew Cuomo’s bid to topple mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani gained some steam this week – as the former governor raised an eye-whopping $400,000 in donations following Eric Adams’ exit from the race.
"I’ve never forgotten Staten Island — and I never will. It’s a vital part of New York City, but it’s often been neglected," Cuomo said.
The New York City mayor said he has been in discussions to back former Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, and maintains his opposition to Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani, the front-runner.
Cuomo stayed cool, removed his black dress shoes at the door of the mosque, and descended a narrow stairway into the small basement prayer room. The group of protesters followed Cuomo and continued jeering loudly throughout his attempt to speak to the 50 or so men kneeling on the floor.
