Thailand and Cambodia reached an “immediate and unconditional” ceasefire deal Monday, bringing an end to days of heavy fire stemming from long-standing border disputes after President Donald Trump got involved in the conflict over the weekend.

Fresh cross-border clashes between Thailand and Cambodia broke out on Sunday hours after US President Donald Trump announced the two Southeast Asian nations had agreed to ceasefire talks.

Cambodia and Thailand are meeting Monday in Malaysia for talks to end days of deadly fighting over their disputed border.
