Karmelo Anthony told authorities he acted in self defense after allegedly fatally stabbing Austin Metcalf at a Texas track meet in April.

Karmelo Anthony, the 17-year-old accused of fatally stabbing another teen during an altercation at a Frisco ISD track meet in early April, was indicted for murder by a Collin County grand jury on Monday. Anthony was arrested on April 2 in connection with the stabbing 17-year-old Austin Metcalf during a track meet at Kuykendall Stadium.

Police say Karmelo Anthony killed Austin Metcalf, 17, on April 2 at the District 11-5A track meet at David Kuykendall Stadium in Frisco.
