This is the sixth consecutive year that one or more rap acts has been in the induction class.

Soundgarden was recently announced as part of the next class of musicians to be inducted to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2025. The Seattle-based band will join six others named in the 2025 class including Cyndi Lauper, Outkast, Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker and The White Stripes.

After missing the cut in its first two nominations, Soundgarden is going into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as part of its 2025 class.
