Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia and catcher Jonah Heim headline the list of 66 MLB arbitration eligible players who were not tendered contracts by their respective teams on Friday.
The Rangers non-tendered the contracts of outfielder Adolis García and catcher Jonah Heim before Friday night’s roster deadline, a person with direct knowledge of the decisions confirmed to The Dallas Morning News, and ended their multi-year tenures with the team.
The Rangers did not offer contracts to Adolis Garcia and Jonah Heim after both stars struggled at the plate over the past two seasons.
Outfielder Adolis García was non-tendered by the Rangers on Friday and will now become a free agent. García, 32, will always hold a special place in Rangers history for what he did during the team’s run to the 2023 World Series title,
Hadfield, Gilbert, and Ratelle ranked third, fourth, and fifth, respectively, in the league in points heading into the Rangers’ game on November 21. During the trio’s offensive outburst to begin the season, they were called the “Hot Line” by members of the media. Shortly after the contest against the Golden Seals, they would have a new nickname.
There have been trade rumors surrounding Rangers shortstop Corey Seager, but their television broadcaster says that won't happen.
