The weekend weather across most of Michigan won’t be too crazy. There is one period of snow and rain we will contend with, but for early February it’s a fairly weak winter set-up.

The Upper Peninsula will get the brunt of a clipper system sweeping across Michigan. It is expected to make a swift exit on Thursday.

Overall, temperatures are expected to be relatively mild throughout much of the forecast period, especially when compared to last week.

A clipper system is expected to sweep across northern Wisconsin on Tuesday, bringing snow and windy conditions.

Areas of upstate New York are forecast to receive several inches of snowfall from a clipper storm which has swept southeast from Canada. A clipper storm, as defined by the National Weather Service, is a fast-moving storm that drops into the U.

A fast-moving storm system is rapidly moving through the Northeast, bringing a combination of snow, wind and the risk of snow squalls, particularly across the interior and portions of New England.
