DeSantis will use emergency powers to take control of Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport away from Miami-Dade County.

Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said the proposed facility poses a threat to the water supply, regional economy and public asset value.

The plan is on a fast track by Gov. Ron DeSantis, even though the owner, Miami-Dade County, is cool on the idea.
