Powerful storms and torrential rain are inundating the Heartland – including Kansas, where first responders in Wichita used a boat to save a driver that was surrounded by flood waters inside her car.

Heavy rainfall in the Wichita area has triggered severe flash flooding as residents capture streets flooded through the Kansas City neighbourhood. Emergency crews rescued dozens of stranded drivers, including some from nearly submerged vehicles.
