GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Consumers Energy officials said this weekend’s ice storm to the north in Michigan and tornadoes to the south made it one of the 10 worst storms in the utility company’s history.

A late season winter storm continues to pose the threat of travel disruptions and power outages, meteorologists are warning.

GAYLORD, MI – Northern Michigan got hit with a major ice storm this past weekend, leaving ice-covered trees and power lines throughout. Thousands are still without power as crews continuously work to fix the damage through the grueling weather.
