Darriana Burton faces one charge of Conspiracy to Commit Simple Escape for assisting Groves, her boyfriend of 2-3 years.

A former Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office employee and girlfriend of New Orleans jail escapee Derrick Groves is accused of aiding in the planning of the escape and setting up of phone calls where Groves discussed fleeing with a third party, according to police records.
