Thailand has reinforced its military presence along a disputed border with Cambodia, following an increase in troops on the other side, Thailand's defence minister said on Saturday, as tensions simmer following a deadly clash.

The Thai government on Thursday issued its second statement confirming that Thailand does not accept the International Court of Justice’s jurisdiction, a position it has maintained since 1960. The statement emphasized that the Thailand-Cambodia border dispute should be handled under the JBC framework.

Cambodia’s government says it plans to seek a ruling from the U.N.’s International Court of Justice over violent border disputes with Thailand.
