Reba McEntire is remembering her stepson, Brandon Blackstock, with kind words in a public tribute. "Last week, my stepson/oldest son Brandon Blackstock went home to be with God," the country music star wrote Tuesday on social media.

There is no one else like him, and I’m thankful for the time we had together. His legacy and laughter will be carried on through his family," the country superstar wrote in a social media post.

In his obituary, the former talent manager, who died at age 48 from cancer on Aug. 7, was memorialized as a doting father to his four children — daughter River, 11, and son Remington, 9, who he shares with ex-wife Kelly Clarkson, and daughter Savannah, 23, and son Seth, 18, who he shares with ex-wife Melissa Ashworth.
