Former Green Bay Packers wide receiver and first-ever player union president, Billy Howton, has died, according to the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA).

Billy Howton was an All-American at Rice and All-Pro with the Green Bay Packers, but his biggest contributions to the NFL came off the field where he helped retired players get a pension.
