Hi ossski, I loved the fresh feeling my skin had after swimming in the Everglades. I did not have my skin peel though so unfortunately I cannot answer your question regarding why yours did. It is a possibility that your skin on your feet were dry or dehydrated and swimming in the tea tree and water may have soaked into skin. Tea tree has therapeutic properties so perhaps that is why. Sorry I could not give you an exact reason.
